A story built in connections

A different

A photo of the owners Richard and Marco at the gate of Palazzo Piccinno
We’re Richard and Marco — and Palazzo Piccinno is our home.
What began as a restoration project slowly became something else: a way of life, a rhythm, a space that brings people together. We didn’t build a hotel; we shaped a place where stories unfold — sometimes over breakfast, sometimes by the pool, sometimes in that quiet moment before evening when Parabita turns golden.

We’ve always believed that the most meaningful journeys don’t start with a plan, but with a feeling. Palazzo Piccinno was born from that same feeling — a pull toward something slower, more honest, more alive.

The spirit of the Palazzo

Set on Via Coltura, in the heart of Parabita, Palazzo Piccinno is an early 20th-century Neo-Gothic house we brought back to life with the help of local artisans. Every tile, every arch, every room carries a piece of this town’s story — and somehow, ours too.

Each year we shape a new theme that becomes the soul of the season.
This year, Puglia Surrealista is our way of seeing the region through dreamlike eyes — playful, unexpected, and deeply rooted. It’s a feeling you’ll taste in chef Marco Cataldo’s breakfast creations, hear in the music we play, and see in the gatherings we host in the garden.

Our way of

Hosting

Hospitality, for us, is personal.
When you arrive, one of us will always be here — to pour you a glass of wine, to talk about tomorrow’s markets or beaches, or simply to let you settle in. We love creating small encounters that bring people together: aperitivo evenings with local friends and artists from the town, moments that blur the line between guest and host, turning a stay into a shared experience.

Being part of the Michelin Guide 2025 means a lot to us — it’s a recognition of what we do, but also of the place we belong to. What truly matters, though, are the faces we meet and the friendships that keep bringing people back.

Where We Are

Palazzo Piccinno sits at Via Coltura 41, Parabita — a short walk from the old town and a short drive from Gallipoli, Santa Maria al Bagno, and Otranto.
This is Salento as we know and love it: simple, generous, a little surreal.

The Feeling That Stays

Every guest who crosses our door adds something to the house. Maybe that’s why it never feels finished — and maybe it shouldn’t.
Because Palazzo Piccinno isn’t really about us. It’s about what happens when people arrive, slow down, and start to feel at home.
